I have grown this variety of mandevilla for seven years. It grows well on small trellises in the ground or in containers and especially does well in large hanging baskets. It does well in full sun and part sun. The color of the blooms is apricot and it is a fantastic bloomer from spring through fall. Last summer a photographer was walking on the sidewalk next to a garden bed taking pictures of this plant hanging on a tall Shepard hook.. I was watering other plants and as he walked by he asked what is the name of the plant with apricot blooms! I said, Apricot Mandevilla. We both laughed. I suggest fertilizing this plant with a soluable fertilizer such as 20-20-20 once a week through August. Thereafter, every two weeks until a few weeks before the growing season begins to come to an end. Last spring I planted three hanging baskets hanging over a high wooden fence street side of the house. In the middle of the twelve foot long fence I hung a new variety of mandevilla called Bluephoria and to the left and right of it were hung Apricot Mandevilla. This combination of colors stood out and is one example of growing different colored mandevilla varieties together. Happy gardening!

Maintenance Notes:Mandevilla needs plenty of sun and does best when it is hot. It will struggle if temperatures are lower than 45 degrees. It can be overwintered indoors with appropriate care. It will go out of flower in the winter and may drop leaves to help it survive the winter. Do not over water in the winter, which is problematic. Keeping the soil on the dry side can help mitigate root rot issues. Use good, well-drained potting soil with Mandevilla. Spider mites and mealy bugs can be problematic. Treat as needed. Your local garden center can help you choose an appropriate treatment method.

amazing beautiful tons of flowers!!!! No bug problems at all. I have it in full sun and it was hot here in Michigan most of the summer. I have other mandavilles pink, red, yellow, white, but this one......no words can describe how beautiful. Nature at its finest. flowers last a long time too. I would buy this again and again and numerous ones too. What a show it would be. I am going to try to winter it over in the garage then if it gets super cold the garage will be too cold for it so down into the basement it will go. I did it once before to another kind of mandaville and it started growing in the basement and i brought it upstairs and into the south side doorwall which gets sun all winter long and it grew. No flowers but kept it alive and put it out in the spring and it grew beautifully. But please bring this one back and other colors too. Bravo Proven Winners!!!!
