    • I grew this new variety mandevilla for the first time last year. One was in a hanging basket and the other on the patio in a large container. Both were in full sun and both were fertilized with a soluble fertilizer 20-20-20. Initially, I mixed a blossom booster fertilizer in with the 20-20-20. I fertilized once a week until September then every other week until October. These plants grew into very vigerous plants with many blooms throughout the growing season in Columbus, Ohio. Both plants essentially covered their containers with growth and blooms. This plant called Mauvelous by its developer, Suntory, is truly marvelous. Not only did it produce many blooms the blooms lasted for more than a few days. I have a gardening friend who was very skeptical about this plant at first. Now it is her favorite mandevilla to grow in containers. I look forward to growing more of these plants in the spring of 2025.

    • I grew two of the new Suntory Mauvelous mandevilla in my tropical home garden last year in hanging baskets in full sun. The plant is a very virgours grower with an abundance of colourful blooms well into early November. Use a quality potting mix and fertilize once a week with a liquid fertilizer such as 20-20-20 until mid August then once every two weeks. This variety of mandevilla is amazingly strong and I suggest growing it in a large hanging basket or in a large container in the garden or patio. Mauvelous is simply marvelous.
