    Learn more about verbena plants.

An updated look for the species, Meteor Shower has a denser, more vigorous growth habit which equates to more manageable and attractive plants as a flowering thriller in containers and massed in the landscape. And since the plants set little seed, it won’t become invasive like most Verbenas of this type. Heat and drought tolerance and deer resistance sweeten its appeal.

    • Planted last year, late spring. Lasted all summer and the bees and butterflies loved it! Withstood our draught summer with no problem. No pests. Absolutely fabulous plant. Was worried it would not survive our winter as I am 6a, so I packed it WELL. I was so thrilled when I saw green stem on the bottom after I uncovered it and it is now leafing out!! YES! Love this plant and plan to get more!

    • I have had Verbena in gardens before but not this version. I like the color of the flowers and the density if the plant. Planted it in my butterfly garden and it has a lot of competition for butterflies with Lantana, Bush Daisy, Bougainvillea and Milk Weed. So I am anxious to see how well they attract butterflies and what kind.

    • More compact than the other common verbena. LOVED that it stayed all summer and attracted pollinators, and was not affected by rain or sprinklers.

    • This is my first year growing Meteor Shower Verbena, and I would highly recommend them. I used them in containers as my thriller, and they performed amazingly well. They bloomed non-stop on strong, tall stems that held up well to windy conditions in my yard. The pollinators loved them lots of bees and butterflies visited all summer long. I definitely will be using them again.

    • Performed well and the pests that were happily munching on everything else left it alone (we had a huge brown beetle problem this year). Was fine with both downpours and drought. Very sturdy, easy, and reliable.
