    Features

Funyella clematis isn't your average climber. From spring to midsummer, its bell-shaped blooms nod on the vines, emanating a crisp grapefruit scent. Its little flowers have pointed petals and two-toned yellow and pink coloring, made even more interesting by burgundy stems. It’s good for pergolas, mailbox posts, and twisting up through shrubs in the border. No need to tear it down each year, as it blooms on old wood. You can let it grow through your garden on its own, creating fun new flower pairings as it goes.

    Uses Notes:

Sparky clematis need support from planting time onward, so if you are not planting near a deck, railing, fence, or other structure, provide a trellis or bamboo stake at planting time.

    Maintenance Notes:

Little to no pruning is required, and if you do want to/need to prune, a light clean-up after the spring bloom is all that is necessary.

Like other clematis, the old adage "feet in the shade, head in the sun" applies for siting. Plant Sparky clematis in a spot where their roots will be cool and shaded by mulch and/or neighboring shrubs or perennials but their vines can bask in abundant sunshine.
