I bought these online from another vendor because I could not find them locally. I fell in love with them when I saw Laura from Garden Answer plant them in shaded window boxes. I’m in Zone 7 Maryland - hot and humid with torrential thunderstorms. Mine are planted in window boxes that get light morning sun and then are in full sun late in the afternoon. They are doing amazing. I wish I could post a picture. I actually moved the window box slightly over when I realized that the side of the box getting more sun was doing better than the more shaded side. They are in constant bloom and I have not been dead heading. I gave them some dilute fertilizer a few times this summer but that’s it. I’m hoping I can get my local garden center to order them in for me next year. I had trepidation putting them in so much sun originally when I saw Laura put them in shade but they have been just outstanding.

While this plant did not grow tremendously, it was beautiful all season long. Today, on November 5th in zone 6A it is still blooming and gorgeous. I plan on overwintering it and I hope for the best. I highly recommend this begonia.

I grew this plant for around 8 or 10 years, when > lived in Roanoke, Va. Outside on a porch, with a roof, in summer, inside in an add-on, south facing laundry room, it thrived untill we moved to Kansas... ALL of my beautiful plants said "Gasp, choke, we can't live here!" Then they all DIED! After 25 years, I moved home to east Tn. I wish this came in white, but I will still get one!
