    Features

A beautybush beyond compare, Jolene Jolene puts on the flower show you expect from a kolkwitzia, but at half the conventional size, so you can actually fit it into a residential landscape, or even a garden. Star-shaped pink flowers with a bright yellow throat emerge at every node to light up this tough, easy-to-grow shrub. Highly adaptable and care-free, Jolene Jolene beautybush makes an excellent flowering hedge, foundation plant, and all-purpose landscape plant.

    Uses Notes:

With its more dwarf habit, this beautybush can be used as a small hedge or foundation plant.

    Maintenance Notes:

Prefers well-drained soils but fairly adaptable to other soil types.  If necessary, prune immediately after the spring bloom. It blooms on old wood and has a naturally arching habit that looks best unpruned. Best flowering occurs in full sun, but light shade isn't harmful, particularly in warmer climates.

If desired, fertilize in early spring with a granular fertilizer formulated for woody plants, like a rose fertilizer.

    • This is an incredibly beautiful plant. Mine grew almost 12 ft tall. Cascading clusters of blush pink flowers with orange veining in the middle. They were truly magnificent and everyone stopped to admire them.
