    Maintenance Notes:

Blue My Mind loves hot weather, in fact, the hotter the better! It will perform best in full sun and needs to be protected from even light frost. It is drought tolerant, once it is established. Plants do need to be watered well for several weeks during root establishment. While the plants can withstand drought conditions, growth and flowering are better with consistent moisture. Deadheading is unnecessary. A good dose of compost or slow release fertilizer will improve performance.

    • I ordered 10 plants last year and planted these in April in Tampa. I later found a local nursery that had stock of evolvulus and ordered 10 more from them. 5 of The Proven Winners died and the other 5 do not look great. The ones from the local nursery are all thriving.

    • When my order arrived, it was colder than normal & fedex turned the box upside down. The shipping center didn’t take inconsideration the unusually low temperatures. The plant was in poor condition. I contact customer service & was told they should be fine. I’ve protected them on my three season room & are now wilted & won’t likely survive. I paid double the price of the garden center not including shipped. Very disappointing! I’ll never preorder again. The loss, isn’t with the risk.

    • I have grown these for years. I absolutely love them. In south Texas they are perennials if protected when a hard freeze comes. They spill over containers beautifully and mix well with other flowers. i grew them as annuals in zone 6.

    • I planted two of the Blue My Mind in a mixed planter in a sunny location. They are an interesting small spreading plant, more of a filler than a spiller. The flowers are a mesmerizing shade of blue and are produced all season. The bad part is, during the summer the blooms all close up by mid-afternoon. They are pretty, but the early closing diminishes their usefulness. During the cooler fall weather they stay open longer.

    • We live in South Carolina and our Blue my minds grow as perennials .. They also bloom way into the late fall here in SC. They give us a larger spread than what's listed. Ours grow about 2 feet wide. We love them

    • Love, love, love "Blue My Mind"! Hardy grower and bounces back very well, if you forget to water them. True blue that looks stunning in my Copenhagen blue and white planters.

    • These were not winners for me. I tried them in a zone 7 and they never did much. I planted them in late May but the plants didn't start putting on any growth until August, so we were only able to really enjoy them for a month. They didn't fill in and looked pretty sad for most of the season.

    • This was a difficult transplant on beginning I planted in soil that was poor with cactus since drought tolerant. Did better with more fertilizer and water. May have lost due to recent Texas freeze even covered and protected. Cut it back fertilized and we will see. Will do weekly for a while.

    • I ordered this plant direct from PW online because I have never seen it In my local greenhouses. This is an exceptional plant. I used it in containers in full sun zone 6b. I moved some of them into the house to see if I could overwinter them, and they have also done very well as a house plant. Occasionally I trim them back, but they have continued to flower since I got them in spring 2020.
