This is such a fantastic plant, so hardy and easy to grow. It’s too bad you don’t have a good image of the fall color. It is so much prettier in the fall than the invasive burning bush and the color lasts for weeks.

I purchased and planted 3 of these last summer in a mostly shaded spot. This year they are growing beautifully and have flowers that are attracting hummingbirds. I am so pleased with these that I am going to replace a barberry plant with these native species - would like to try the Kodiak Black. I have always had good luck with the plants I have ordered from Proven Winners and these were no exception. This is my go-to place for plants.
