Fabulous compact native, great for using in pollinator gardens, and as a specimen or grouping.

    Maintenance Notes:

It is good to do a pruning check each year in the winter or very early spring, before buds have started to green up. Check for and remove any crossing branches.

Will grow in lightly shaded areas, but berry production will decrease if there is too much shade.

Enjoys freely draining soil with average moisture. If planted in sandy soil, more frequent waterings will be needed. To retain moisture and cut down on the necessity of hand watering, apply a layer of mulch.

    • Cute little tree! Planted as a 6ft. B&B, in a sunny corner of our yard, where we needed a small tree. Since Spring 2023 it has put on some good, healthy growth. It is now blooming, as lovely as serviceberries do. Will enjoy watching it grow up.
