Within weeks of planting (June, zone 7a) it began blooming and growing. It's almost mid=October now and the last blooms are just now fading. And this plant was planted in a very shady area. Actually, I doubt that it gets any direct sun. Given the location, I didn't have very high expectations so it has been a very pleasant surprise .
