    • This was an easy plant once it got established. I bought three, but two didn’t survive the winter. The third is a beast. It came in a quart container last year and now it fills a 22 inch planter. The flowers were gorgeous and the foliage is a striking addition to my porch.

    • In early March, this was the first perennial to bloom in my zone 7 shade garden, and the flowers look uncannily fresh nearly two months later. Because of that longevity, I've just bought several more plants. They play well with brunnera diane's gold.

    • I bought two of these plants in spring last year, and the blooms were beautiful. I planted them in containers at first, before moving them to the ground for summer. They performed great in both spots, and tolerated heat and drought better than any Pulmonaria I’ve ever seen. They’re decently deer resistant as well, as the deer only messed with them late in the season when there wasn’t much else to eat. If you have anything more conspicuous planted near them, deer won’t be a problem. Overall, it’s a beautiful and resilient plant, and a wonderful addition to my shade garden.
