5 star plant!! Mine love wet, terribly drained soil where I couldn’t get anything else to grow. They are fast growing and the dark foliage plus vibrant pink flowers are such a treat. They brought me so much joy all season long. Don’t sleep on getting these for your garden!

Keeping these plants watered will result in larger flowers and lush foliage. Deadheading will improve the appearance of the plant, but is not necessary for continued bloom. It is best to plant Hibiscus in the garden before the heat of the summer arrives, and should be heavily mulched the first winter. In spring, cut back any remaining stems before new growth appears. Do not trim back in fall. A strong pair of loppers or a saw will be necessary to cut this plant back. Be advised that Hibiscus is always one of the last perennials to emerge in spring. Be patient, even if you think it is dead, it most likely isn't. Its vigorous growth rate more than makes up for this late start, however. Japanese beetles find these plants especially delicious.

We added this BEAUTIFUL hibiscus to our garden this year and it is getting bigger and fuller every day! I've had my eye on this one for about 2 years but was unable to find it at my local nursery garden. I called earlier this year and they had it in stock, and we immediately went and purchased one. The first blooms opened 2 days ago, and they are absolutely gorgeous! I sooooo happy with this hibiscus. I hope to propagate this one in the fall. Thanks, Proven Winners.
