Professional Growing Information A new garden favorite! I waited until mid May to plant about ten bulbs- the Caladiums were up by June, and have been gracing my garden ever since without any lag. Now in the end of August, they show no signs of slowing down. I use water soluble fertilizer on them every other week, and they've created this gorgeous drift of white, like a cloud in my shade garden.

Features
'Snow Drift' is a fancy leaved variety known as Snow Drift caladium with bright white leaves and deep green veins. It is nice in combination patio planters or in shaded landscapes. It performs best in part shade to shade, thriving as a reliable white caladium for shade garden and a standout among shade foliage plants for containers. Caladiums are also generally considered to be houseplants where they prefer bright light or a sunny window, suitable for those interested in caladium houseplant care.

Since Caladiums prefer heat and humidity and do not tolerate cold, soggy soils, for most gardeners who live in the north will have best results in containers, especially when using Snow Drift caladium as one of their favorite shade foliage plants for containers, as the soil in pots or planters warms up faster and has better drainage so plants will not become soggy. Remember for best growth always keep the temperatures above 65 F, particularly when establishing a caladium for shade garden.
A ¼ - ½ strength fertilizing every week or every other week is fine throughout the season, too strong a fertilizer can burn leaves, and since the leaves last all season you want to keep them looking fresh. Caladiums like to be moist at all times so avoid allowing them to dry out as it also causes leaves to yellow and drop.

Perfect for a moon garden. This has a sophistication due to the green and white and it seems to glow in a little shadow. I’m getting more for my yard because I couldn’t let my first batch leave my covered back porch!
